FAQ
Who is responsible for transport?
Generally transport is the responsibility of the buyer. We have good relationships with several game transporters that will move game from anywhere to anywhere.
How does insurance work?
Several of South Africa’s major insurance companies underwrite insurance for the game industry. Insurance costs are to the owner’s account so once animals get bought they need to be insured by the buyer.
Is VAT included?
In some cases VAT is included in the price, others not. Please note that this is a case by case pricing as some farmers charge VAT and others don’t.
Can I attend the loading and capturing?
We generally encourage this as the process is interesting and sometimes the buyer sees some other animals that they would also want to buy! Please note that the time and date of capturing needs to suit the farmer and the game capturing team so you will have to adjust your schedule accordingly
What commission is payable?
3% on every transaction.
Can I use my own vet?
Of course. But generally he or she will have to work in conjunction with the seller’s/ game capturers vets.
